Carol Lake of Canterbury, N.H., creates traditional and expressive fine art including plein air and portraiture, in glass, oils, and sculpture. She also travels globally for live special event painting.

Considered an American Contemporary Impressionist, Carol has been painting and drawing since she was a young girl. A professional portrait and live event artist, Carol's work hangs in private collections throughout the country and abroad in Italy, Great Britain and Germany.

Carol works in water-based media, oils, and sculpture. She is currently exploring a new adventure - pottery. She is well known for her live event paintings and figurative sculpture and is considered to be a true "animalier" - an artist who specializes in painting and sculpting all species of animals. She is a juried member of the New England Sculptors Association. She is also a member of the Portrait Society of America, and the National Sculptors Association.

In 2017 she was the Artist-in-Residence at the Saint-Gaudens National park in Cornish, NH, and in 2016 was chosen by the five star Tuscan Villa "Borgo Santo Pietro" to be their Artist-in-Residence for the months of September and October.

Carol is a live event painter for weddings, plein Air events, and it creates portraiture and sculpture. She travels worldwide for special events.
