Leslie Pasternack is an actor, director, playwright, teacher and the owner of Lemon Punch Theatre Lab in Amesbury, Mass., which is a performance classroom and rehearsal space for adults and teens. Leslie has a Ph.D. in theatre history from University of Texas Austin and is a graduate of the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre.
She taught theatre history and acting for nine years on the college level, first at Northeastern University in Boston and then at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. She has taught workshops in stage combat, mask performance, and clowning at venues including UT Austin, Dartmouth College, Methodist University, theatre KAPOW and the N.H. Theatre Project.
Recent directing credits include five Zoom short play festivals hosted through Lemon Punch Theatre Lab; the performance/outreach series MAKE SURE IT’S ME, based on Kate Wenner’s play about traumatic brain injury in the military; Caryl Churchill’s A Number; Albee’s The Goat; and Will Eno’s Tragedy: a tragedy. In addition to such recent acting credits as Major Powell in NHTP’s Men on Boats, Leslie’s masked solo show, Clean Room, has played across New England and in New York City. Leslie also mentors an incarcerated playwright through the PEN America Center’s Prison Writing Program.
