Loretta CR Hubley
Re-composes scenery she has experienced through etching and painting to inspire contemplation of the spiritual messages embodied in nature
Loretta CR Hubley creates colorful, textured and spiritual nature images. A retired art professor, she still mentors motivated students in her North End studio. Her Studio for Fine Art is equipped with a Dickerson Combination Press for making original prints. There is also a darkroom for black and white film photography or for making photographic positives. Her philosophy of teaching art is to bring out the individual’s originality founded on acquired skills in drawing and design. Her art work has received honors in juried exhibitions across the U.S. and has been acquired by several prestigious private collectors, including the late Meri Goyette, who received the 2015 Governor’s Art Award as a great N.H. patron of art.
