A native of Lasithi Province on the Greek island of Crete, he came to the U.S. in 1989 “to spread his creative wings,” said Jim Theos, a retired banker who helped him find the building to display his work currently. Nondas studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and developed master carpentry skills while studying at the MFA in Boston, leading to what Theos called his “evolution as a futurist and spacial Renaissance man.”
