Your Support is Needed
/City Arts Nashua is the fiscal sponsor for the Holman Stadium Art Banner project. Nashua’s Historic Holman Stadium was home to the first integrated baseball team in the US when pitcher Don Newcombe and catcher Roy Campanella were members of the 1942 Nashua Dodgers, the minor league team for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
This community project will hire an artist to create portraits of both players that will be made into 8x12 foot banners that will be displayed on either side of the entrance to Holman Stadium. With a significant grant from the Burbank Fund and donations for generous donors, the project needs $900 to reach the budget goal. Any size donation will help make this community art project a reality. You can send a check to City Arts Nashua, PO Box 1603, Nashua 03061 or donate Online.
